We’re a small, licensed private hire company based on Chew Road in Winford, North Somerset — BS40 8HJ. We started this business because we live here, drive these roads every day, and wanted passengers to have a local service with a confirmed fare and clear booking arrangements.

A fixed price and a driver who knows the area.
We’re based at the bottom of the Mendip Hills, three miles from the terminal on the A38. Our drivers use the Chew Valley road and the A37 through Pensford as part of daily life. We know where the road narrows coming through Winford village. We know the layby at Felton where coaches wait. We know the difference between the A38 approach through Redhill and the B3133 route that comes in from the Cheddar side — and which one you'd choose at 5am versus 7pm.

Our address is Chew Road, Winford, Chew Magna, Bristol BS40 8HJ. Winford is a small village in the Chew Valley, sitting roughly equidistant between Bristol to the north and the Mendip Hills to the south. The A38 — the main arterial road into Bristol Airport — runs about a mile from our base. On a clear morning with no roadworks, we can be at the terminal in under ten minutes.
Being based in BS40 helps keep the distance between our base and the airport low. It supports early-morning pickups in places such as Keynsham and Saltford, as well as longer transfers to Cardiff and Trowbridge.

For arrivals, our drivers offer a name-board meeting inside the terminal. Confirm your meeting point with the team before travelling.
The A38 northboundthrough Redhill and Barrow Gurney at 6am is a different road to the A38 at 8am. The A37 through Pensford is quicker for Bath runs than looping back through the A4. The B3130 through Chew Magna is the one that ices over first in January. This isn't airport trivia — it's the difference between on time and late.
Route Shortcuts Locals Know
The A368 through Bishop Sutton cuts useful time off a Chew Valley pickup. The second Severn crossing for South Wales southern routes. The M5 J14 or J15 approach depending on Gloucester origination. The B3151 through Meare and Westhay in the Somerset Levels at 4am in November — we know what that drive is like.

01 · The price we quote is the price you pay
It’s confirmed in your booking email. Nothing changes on the day because of traffic, flight arrival changes or a bank holiday. The price on your confirmation is final.
02 · We track your flight
On arrivals, we monitor your flight number in real time. If the airline delays your landing, we adjust our driver’s departure. You do not pay extra for an airline delay.
03 · We show up
We have not missed a booking since we opened in December 2023.
04 · We answer the phone
Call 01275 474 747 any time, day or night. If you are landing at 1am and need to reach your driver, a real person answers.
05 · We tell you if we cannot do something
If a booking clashes with existing commitments and we cannot fulfil it to our standard, we will tell you. We would rather lose one booking than lose your trust.

Where are you based?
We’re based at Chew Road, Winford, Chew Magna, Bristol BS40 8HJ, in North Somerset, approximately three miles from Bristol Airport terminal via the A38.
When did you begin operating?
We began operating in December 2023. Every booking since that date has been fulfilled by a licensed private hire driver, and we have built our reputation entirely through genuine customer experience rather than inherited brand recognition.
Are your drivers licensed and checked?
Yes. Every driver holds a current Private Hire Vehicle licence issued by North Somerset Council, an enhanced DBS certificate, and hire and reward insurance. Vehicles pass the North Somerset Council annual private hire inspection. Licence numbers are displayed on the vehicle as required by law.
Are you the official airport taxi operator?
No. We are an independently operated private hire company, separate from the airport’s on-rank operator. We provide pre-booked transfers: book in advance, receive a confirmed fixed price, and your driver comes to your door.
Can I book by phone?
Yes — call 01275 474 747 any time. We answer 24 hours a day. If you want to discuss a long-distance route, a large group booking, a complex itinerary, or simply prefer to book by phone rather than online, we're happy to take your details and confirm everything verbally before sending written confirmation.
Do you pass bookings to other driver pools?
No. We do not list your booking on a load board or pass it to a driver pool we haven't personally vetted. Every driver who completes a booking for Bristol Airport Taxi UK is a driver we know, whose licences and certifications we've verified, and who is familiar with the area and airport layout.
Will my confirmed price change?
Your price is confirmed in your booking confirmation email and SMS at the time of booking. It does not change for any reason — traffic, weather, time of day, or demand. If you have a confirmed booking with a confirmed price, that is what you pay on the day. No exceptions.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover the whole of the South West and into South Wales — including Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Cardiff, Newport and surrounding areas.
